Background:

TVEA wants to recognize members for the ongoing good work they are doing for their students and colleagues.  We are pleased to announce the TVEA Ovation! Member Recognition Program.  Each semester, the TVEA Member Recognition Committee will seek nominations from TVEA members to recognize members for a job well-done!  Categories of Recognition will include yet not be limited to: Leadership and Professionalism, Going the "Extra Mile", School Spirit, Most Inspirational, Volunteer/Community Contributor,and Overcoming Challenges and/or Adversity. There will be a nomination period announced and members may submit nominations electronically through the TVEA website.  The Member Engagement Committee will review the nominations and determine the number of folks to be recognized in that nomination/recognition period. 

How it Will Work:

The TVEA Member Engagement Committee will recognize the TVEA Ovation! recipient at your site in front of their friends and colleagues.  They will work with the nominator to determine the most feasible time and way to recognize them at your site.  It could be at lunch, immediately after school, or at the beginning or end of a staff meeting.  We will be asking for some information about the recipient's favorite food, drink, and restaurant.  We will share their story with site colleagues and provide them with a heartfelt Ovation!

The program is funded through a Member Engagement Grant we have received from our parent group, the California Teachers Association. We plan to deliver Fall Ovation's beginning October 14 and
continuing into early December.
