                     GOODBYE FROM ED MARCH 22, 2008                    

Teachers,

As this is my last full day as President of TVEA, I want thank every person who placed their trust in me by supporting the agenda we have moved forward these last two years.  I am humbled by the efforts of our teachers who have made this district a beacon for so many others who are drawn by the dedicated service we provide to our students.  We have much to be pleased about.  Our Association is stronger, more connected to the work of our teachers, and respected by both the public and the Board, as well as by site and district administrators.  This is due to the commitment of our Leadership Council and Executive Board, who have committed themselves to the work of this chapter.   Thank you all for the opportunity to lead, and for the chance to help to make a difference for all our members.  I will always hold in my heart the fond memories of my 21 years of service here, but especially those in which I have had the honor of the title TVEA President.
