Knights in Shining Armor!

Nicolas Valley is a beehive of activity, with Principal Maxwell’s self-described “Awesome Staff” creating so many opportunities for enhancing student learning throughout the day and after school. 
Some of their offerings include:

- Onsite childcare for all grades                                

- 2 volunteers for 1st grade intervention

- School wide PLC time for teachers (approx. 7 hours per month) to collaborate with teams and increase student learning through analyzing data

- Extended Day K - 3 classes 9-2, 3 classes 10:15-3:15 allows, teachers to team during the 1 hour LA block

- PTA sponsoring “Bring Your Family Week” in February

The Breakfast Program that began in January has been a huge success to, with about 50-150 kids per day participating.  They are also hosting a Grand Opening of their Parent Resource Center on February 15^th, which they believe will encourage more interaction between the school and parents.  There’s no doubt that these Knights are marching toward success!
