Mustangs
are an Unbridled Success
Margarita
Middle School has some of the most
hard-working teachers in the TVUSD,
according to Principal Karen Hayes.
When walking through the school you
witness teachers working with their
students and using a variety of
techniques to engage those filling
their classrooms. Collaboration
is endemic on the campus, with
educators working in “Power Teams”
that share a common prep and common
students to best meet their individual
needs while better tracking their
progress. The entire campus is
also piloting a new program called
“Pride Group”. The last hour
of each Friday is set aside for
students to meet in over 55 different
Interest Groups hosted by the
teachers, which range from Gardening,
Soccer, Scrapbooking, to Chess, and
even Folk dancing. It’s easy
to see why the PTA was successful in
winning nearly $2000.00 in grant money
in the national “Take Your Family to
School” competition. Keep up your
positive momentum, folks, because it
is contagious!
